What your past can teach you about your manifestation practice.
I keep coming across this one question in the practice of manifestation or law of attraction: how much does my past truly matter?
So much of our pasts are the reason our current reality looks as it does. Then how far do we go? What do we do with where we come from?
In my understanding of the practice, you leave it like you walk away from a pothole side of the road. Not the people and things you love, but all else. You see it, acknowledge it, and move past beside it. Not jump through it, not sit and observe it, not analyse it, but simply go around. The entire practice depends on you living in the state of having what you want already, that will automatically highlight deep potholes you used to fall into on the way to getting that want. Now the practice says, don't bother at all, treat the proof of the pothole and gaps in imagination and observation as mere occurrences not of your interest and keep moving towards what you desire calmly.
Over the time, I have been observing more on where does this going around the potholes accidentally becomes a practice in ignoring your problems itself, because that unfortunately will become a pothole in its own right. So to me, the difference between ignoring a problem vs going around it is the action. Action decides it for me. See when I'm in the state, I move. I simply take the actions because I'm not worried about the outcome so I simply act from the state of having what I desire, which has always been a very motivated, clear-eyed movement for me. But the ignoring often feels like a force, like I'm trying to move as if I have what I want.
The state is the one practice your desires need you to embody. Interestingly, you can train it. You can train to remain in your desired state by training your nervous system to learn to imagine living from it, taking actions from it. And imagination itself is a muscle you can train, because what is your brain but muscles with electrical power?
